To advance our goal of reducing financial vulnerabilities in marginalised communities, we have created the Micro Insurance Academy (MIA) as the implementing body. MIA provided technical support and guidance to microinsurance actors and enabled them to reach out to the target population by supporting them in coherently framing the demand for insurance and creating a cost-efficient model for scalable and sustainable operations.
Additionally, to empower and uplift the marginalised communities, we have initiated a program to provide sexual and reproductive health services in hard-to-reach areas. Despite the Government’s efforts, even today as per the National Family Health Survey- V (2019-2021), nationally only 66.7% of couples (married women in the age group 15-49 years) avail family planning services, whereas 9.4% of couples have unmet need for family planning. Thus, our service delivery teams generate awareness and counsel our beneficiaries on a range of modern family planning methods, to enable them to choose a method that suits them the best. At present, we work with the State Government of Rajasthan to build the capacity of public sector staff to address the issues that impact beneficiary safety and satisfaction while providing the following sexual & reproductive health services and family planning methods: -
We ensure everyone is supported to make decisions about their bodies and their futures. We offer a complete basket of choices on reproductive health services to women and men, enabling them to make informed choices on when and how many children they want to have. To enable women to exercise their right to choose and take care of their own and their family’s well-being, we provide a range of contraceptive choices through our outreach teams. Our role is to empower individuals to improve their quality of life through enhanced access to high quality, affordable sexual and reproductive health services.
We provide services in areas with high unmet needs for contraception and family planning services. These areas are hard-to-reach where women and men are unable to access quality family planning services.
